Support our schools, empower our students.
My name is Tom Hodgkiss-Lilly. I’m running because I believe in the power of public education, and I believe our schools should be a place where every student is given the tools, support, and opportunity to succeed.
I’m not just a candidate—I’m a product of this district (class of ‘04) and a parent deeply invested in its future. I graduated from Heights, and now I have four children currently attending schools in our district, four ears to the ground, if you will.
Professionally I am Realtor with Howard Hanna, as well as an attorney in private practice doing transactional and consulting work. I also serve on the Cleveland Heights Parks and Rec board.
As a lifelong resident and parent of kids in the district, I’ve seen firsthand both the strengths and the challenges in our schools. We have talented and hardworking, really world-class, teachers, bright students, and a terrific community—but we also face real issues. Issues that need thoughtful, deliberate leadership.
I’m not running because I think I have all the answers. I’m running because I am ready to listen. I’m ready to ask questions. And I’m ready to work collaboratively to ensure our schools serve all students—regardless of background.
